Alaska String Band to perform New Year's Day

JUNEAU - The Alaska String Band is back in Juneau for the holidays. The band has just returned from a 10-week tour in the South Central states playing at festivals, concerts, schools, colleges, and churches.

The Alaska String Band is made up of the five-person Zahasky family: parents Paul and Melissa and children Laura, Quinn and Abigail.

The Zahasky's will embark on another 10-week tour on January 5, but will first play a New Year's Day concert in Juneau.

The concert will be 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1 at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Admission is $10 at the door and kids are free.
