Call for Art for 2007 Poster Design
Each year, the Alaska One Public Television Network calls for art for the annual poster design.

The 2006 poster artist was Karin Franzen, a fiber artist from Fairbanks. Over the past 23 years, many of Alaska's finest artists have earned a place on AlaskaOne's Annual poster.

The statewide competition includes the following eligibility requirements:

1. Entrants reside in Alaska.

2. Each artist may submit up to 3 slides or art on a CD (high resolution jpg or pdf file).

3. Entries must be personally submitted by the creative artist.

4. Work that has been previously shown is acceptable.

5. All artwork must have been completed in the last 5 years.

The entries will be judged by a selection committee. The chosen work will be professionally photographed and posters will be printed to publicize the artist's work. The poster will be introduced in the statewide spring 2007 Public Broadcasting campaign on Alaska One. Further promotion includes airing the artist's bio on Alaska One and inviting the artist to participate in a public poster-signing event. To have entries returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Please submit entries, art title, dimensions, contact information, and a written description (up to 200 words) about what inspires you to create art to: Tammy Tragis-McCook, Marketing & Community Relations Manager, Alaska One Call for Art 2007, University of Alaska Fairbanks, P.O. Box 755620, 312 Tanana Drive, Fairbanks, AK 99775-5620.

All entries must be received by Friday, January 5, 2007.
