JUNEAU - A police officer responding to a burglar alarm saw two men escape from Mendenhall River Community School about 3 a.m. on Nov. 19, with one leaving behind a pair of shoes and bag of tools, reported the Juneau Empire. Police believe the suspects could also be responsible for three other break-ins that occurred last week within days of one another.

Police look for suspects in four school break-ins

JUNEAU - A police officer responding to a burglar alarm saw two men escape from Mendenhall River Community School about 3 a.m. on Nov. 19, with one leaving behind a pair of shoes and bag of tools, reported the Juneau Empire. Police believe the suspects could also be responsible for three other break-ins that occurred last week within days of one another.

The shoes and tools, which are believed to have been used to break into the schools, was taken by police as evidence. Principal Patty Newman told the Empire she was not aware of anything valuable that was missing.
