Critics call Palin interview a Turkey-day disaster

WASILLA - A video clip of Gov. Sarah Palin doing an interview at a Mat-Su poultry farm has put the former Republican vice presidential candidate back in the national spotlight.

Palin arrived at Triple D Farm and Hatchery to pardon a turkey. During what was intended to be a light-hearted interview, another turkey was caught on camera being slaughtered in the background. Within a day the video was viewed more than 1 million times on YouTube. Many newspapers and radio stations also put the clip online, criticizing Palin for the debacle.
