The American Red Cross of Alaska Thanks Community for Support
During this holiday season, as Americans gather with their loved ones to give thanks, the Southeast District of the American Red Cross of Alaska would like to thank you for another year of support. Because of the generosity of community residents, the American Red Cross of Alaska has been able to provide reach out and help those affected by the recent floods while still meeting the needs of your neighbors.

Floods are just part of the story. Around the clock and every day of the year, the American Red Cross of Alaska is responding to local disasters, teaching first aid and CPR classes, serving as a life link for members of the military and their families or helping communities near or far during a time of crisis.

"The generosity of the southeast district has been awesome," said Shad Engkilterra, Southeast district director. "We couldn't provide for those affected by disasters without your contributions to our district."

The American Red Cross of Alaska is your local conduit to care and compassion. Your generous contributions of time and money enable our volunteers and employees to carry out the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross.

Governed by volunteers and supported by community donations, the American Red Cross of Alaska is dedicated to saving lives and helping Alaskans prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Led by over 1,500 volunteers and 27 employees, last year the American Red Cross of Alaska mobilized relief to over 1,050 Alaskans affected by disaster, trained over 32,000 people in lifesaving skills, taught over 78,500 Alaskans how to be better prepared for disasters, and exchanged more than 4,100 emergency messages for U.S. military service personnel and their families.
