Murray was one of five recipients recognized for their contributions to marine conservation through work-related activities.
Murray is a senior director at Oceana Pacific, which utilizes science, law and the public to restore and protect the Pacific and Arctic oceans. Her team works with state and federal policy-makers, fishermen, local communities, scientists and conservation groups to develop comprehensive strategies to protect state and federal waters from non-sustainable fishing practices.
