Tony Hamley and Ryan Wharton watch Friday, Nov. 9, at Boys & Girls Club of Juneau as the robot they programmed runs its course. The students will compete among more than 120 students and coaches from 13 teams in Southeast Alaska on Sunday, Nov. 18, at Centennial Hall in the initial leg of the national robotics competition First Lego League. The event is open to the public. The overall winning team from Southeast will compete in Anchorage on Jan. 12. Alaska's winners will go to Atlanta, Ga. in April for the national competition.
