Sweet Second Saturdays
Dances will be held in Ketchikan the second Saturday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Schoenbar Commons. This month is an October Folk Dance, with contra, square, and circle dances. Donations of $5 will be accepted for those 16 and older.
Brazilian Dance Workshop
A workshop will be held Nov. 10-11, at University of Alaska Southeast Activities Center with visiting instructor Pauline Serrano performing a demo Friday, Nov. 9, at Zephyr with Salsa Borealis. Classes Saturday, Nov. 10, will be Samba I from noon-1:30 p.m., Samba II from 2:30-4 p.m. and partner dancing from 5-6 p.m. Classes Sunday, Nov. 11, will be Samba III from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and Samba IV from 3-4:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per class or $40 for all classes or, for students, $7 per class or $30 for all classes.
