Ceramics Symposium brings artists together from Alaska, lower 48 states
JUNEAU - The University of Alaska Southeast and the Alaska State Museum are jointly hosting a "20/20 Vision" Ceramics Symposium this week.. The event brings together 10 Alaska artists and 10 ceramicists from the Lower 48 for workshops, lectures and shows. Free public workshops and demonstrations will be held at UAS on Nov. 5 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., in the ceramics studio in Sobeloff Building Room 106.

A UAS Student Art Opening will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Lake Room at UAS

Following the opening, a special Saturday Evening at Egan will be held at 7 p.m. at the UAS Egan Lecture Hall.

Josh Deweese, Ted Adler, and Liz Zacher will share their recent work and influences. The lecture will be facilitated by Assistant Professor of Art Jeremy Kane.
