JUNEAU - A Turkey Trot will be held Friday, Nov. 6 to collect turkeys for those in need this Thanksgiving. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Zach Gordon Youth Center, 396 Willoughby Ave., and the trot will begin at 6 p.m. Trotters may take any route they like as long as they arrive at Gunakadeit Park before 8 p.m. with a frozen turkey in hand. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories including fastest turkey, best turkey parts and best costume. Other prizes will be awarded by drawing.
