Pierce brings over eight years experience as a strategic level finance officer to the position.
She served as the chief financial officer for another local financial institution from 1999-2004, worked as the director of finance and development for the Sealaska Heritage Institute from 2004-2005, and held the position of assistant state comptroller and comptroller for the State of Alaska from 2005, until accepting her new position with Alaska Pacific.
Pierce has a Masters of Business Administration degree and is a Certified Public Accountant.
As chief financial officer, Pierce is responsible for the bank's overall financial management, including oversight of budgeting, analysis, forecasting, interest-rate risk, and financial reporting.
