Program puts Alaskans to work to learn skills
Are you 55 or older and looking for work?

The Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training program can put you to work in a paid trainee position where you can learn new skills - while earning a wage.

By expanding on past job experience or developing new skills, MASST-an adult education program of SERRC, Alaska's Educational Resource Center-assists low-income, mature Alaskans with on-the-job skills training, job search assistance, and placement into employment.

Participants have the exciting opportunity to learn or improve computer skills and to brush up on basics such as reading, writing, and math.

In today's competitive job market, the MASST program delivers unique training for mature Alaskans to gain additional skills, launch a new career, and secure a part-time or full-time job - all while getting paid.

For additional information about enrolling in the MASST program, contact Susan Bus, SERRC's MASST Program Coordinator, at 586-5718.
