Crime of the week
On Sept. 29, at approximately 10:06 p.m., Juneau Police Department officers and several citizens heard an explosion near the food and restroom kiosk at the Kennedy/Adair Park. This incident occurred during a Juneau Youth Football game at the park. The explosion produced a small smoke cloud.

A small, twisted plastic bottle and pieces of what appeared to be aluminum foil were located between a garbage can and a wood retaining wall near the kiosk. No viable suspects were located or identified at the scene. No injuries were reported and no damage was observed.
