Alaska Pacific appoints Allen as new director
Robert E. Allen, Jr., a long-time Sitka businessman, has joined the Alaska Pacific Bancshares Board of Directors, according to President and CEO Craig E. Dahl. Allen filled the position vacated by Marta Ryman, who retired from the board after serving for over five years.

Rob Allen is part owner of a family business, Allen Marine, Inc.

The Sitka-based business was established in 1968.

Since 1986, Allen has served as president of Allen Marine Tours, which provides whale-watching and wildlife sightseeing trips in Sitka, Ketchikan and Juneau.

He is vice president of Allen Marine, a boat building company, and vice president of Allen Marine Sales and Service, which operates retail stores in Sitka and Juneau.

Combined, the three companies employee about 200 people in Southeast.
