Israelson graduates from basic combat training
Army Pvt. Tyler O. Israelson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Israelson is the son of Ted and Sunny Israelson of Starlight Court, Juneau.

His wife, Kris, is the daughter of John Gregson, and Terri Gregson, both of Juneau.

The private is a 1998 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Alaska Southeast.
