Mitchell - Anderson Wedding

  Darcy Mitchell and Ryan Anderson were married Aug. 5, 2006, in Hood River, Ore.
Darcy Mitchell and Ryan Anderson, 1997 Juneau-Douglas High School art honor graduates, were married Aug. 5, in Hood River, Ore. by Rev. Kathleen Harper of Juneau.

The bride is the daughter of Captain Kelly and Gayle Mitchell of Lake Stevens, Wash. She graduated in art from the Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver, British Columbia and is pursuing a career as a professional artist.

The groom is the son of Richard and Delores Anderson, who recently relocated from Juneau to Hood River, Ore., and Dianne Anderson and Mark Vinsel of North Douglas. He graduated magna cum laude from Cogswell College in Sunnyvale, Calif. studying computer imaging and is employed as 3D media designer for Artifex in Tacoma, Wash.

The bride's twin sisters, Paige Mitchell and Lisa Mitchell of Washington served as her bridesmaids. The groom's brother, Robert "Bo" Anderson of Juneau served as best man. The ceremony was held outside in the garden and orchard of the Anderson home on a stage built of sticks by Robert Anderson and Kathleen Harper. Ms. Harper became certified to perform the wedding service.

Following a three-week wedding trip to Italy, the couple will make their home in Tacoma.
