What is your definition of success?

Success is often measured in achievements. I don't think that you necessarily need a long list of accomplishments to be a success. I think a successful person sets high standards, has a strong sense of who they are, and is able to persevere through whatever life throws their way.

What special challenges or advantages have you faced because you're a woman?

I personally do not think that gender has had a major affect on my work experience thus far.

What has been your motivation?

My motivation has always been my family. They have encouraged me and stood beside me my whole life.

How did you get started in this business?

I had recently graduated from college with a bachelor's of art degree in art and saw an opening at the Capital City Weekly for a graphic designer and decided to jump at the chance.

Who was your mentor, and how have they influenced you?

My friend Anne, she was a strong and caring women. She taught me not to be afraid of new experiences and challenges and always encouraged and supported me in whatever I was doing.
