The script was written with TRs strengths and Juneau's actors in mind: fast moving, colorful language, ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.
It showcases the talents of many veteran actors: Eddie Jones as D'Artagnan, Ed Christian, Jack Cannon and Elmore as the Three Musketeers, Katie Jensen as the cunning Milady de Winter, with Christina Apathy - new to Juneau but not to the stage - as Constance. Other familiar faces are Rebecca Orford, Phil Schemph, Ishmael Hope, and Peter Freer. Talented teens Megan Behnke and Hunter Davis round out the cast of players.
The production is a visual delight, featuring the richly detailed costumes and spectacular sword-fighting signature to a Theatre in the Rough production.
Theatre-goers familiar with TR will find troup's classic minimalist style of simple unit set, furniture and lighting, but a new twist: the audience will be seated in chairs on tiered bleachers with the action taking place below them on the floor.
The vastly improved sight lines should ensure you won't miss a thing.
