Strathdee Concerts

Jim and Jean Strathdee, internationally honored concert artists will hold three concerts. They will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Sitka at Sitka United Methodist Church. Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military and $5 for students. They were perform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at First United Methodist Church in Ketchikan. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and youth and $25 for a family. They will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Norther Light United Church in Juneau. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, students and military. Huun Huur Tu Tickets

Tickets for the KAAHC's first Torch Nights series performance are now for sale. Huun Huur Tu is the foremost international representative of Tuva's musical culture, and transforms the sounds of the natural world into music. Expressed in throat-singing, whistling, or other types of vocal production paired with traditional instruments, Huun Huur Tu creates radically representational music that is both unfamiliar and accessible.
