SITKA - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) announced Sept. 29 that Valerie S. Edwards, MD, has joined the medical staff at the SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka.

"Dr. Edwards joins our medical staff after completing her residency at the Alaska Family Practice program," said Dr. Marty Grasmeder, SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital medical director. "She brings with her extra experience in rural Alaska, and a desire to practice in a small town. She will be working in Kake as well as at Mt. Edgecumbe. We're happy to welcome her to the MEH team."
