Teaching Artists series of workshops to return

JUNEAU - Back by popular demand is the six-part workshop series for local artists interested in working in Juneau's schools, honing skill, strategies and knowledge about working with students of all ages. The series is sponsored by the Juneau Partnership in Education between the Juneau School District and Juneau Arts and Humanities Council with support from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The series will take place on Tuesday evenings from 5-7 p.m., beginning on Nov. 3 and ending on Dec. 8 at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center. The cost is $50 for the series or $10 per session. For artists currently on or interested in getting on the Alaska State Council on the Arts Roster, this is an excellent opportunity as they will require that all Roster artists complete a series such as this within the next three years in order to qualify. To register and reserve a space, call 586-2787.
