Miller is internationally renowned as a pianist, organist, harpsichordist and keyboardist, and has a fascination with computer music technology.
He has taught music, conducted choral groups and orchestras, led and facilitated worship in many different settings and managed large concert productions and music conferences.
He also is respected as an innovative leader in handbells.
A church organist since age 15, Miller has served at several churches.
At Calvary Church in Charlotte, N.C., he presided over the world's 13th largest pipe organ. Currently, Miller is the organist for St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Beaverton, Ore.
A professional member of ASCAP, Miller is well-known for his composing and arranging and has several published works to his credit.
Miller is product manager at Rodgers Instruments LLC, one of the world's leading organ builders, in Hillsboro, Ore.
While in Juneau, Miller will complete the voicing and final adjustment of the new Rodgers three-manual organ at the church.
He also will lead a workshop for musicians at 10 a.m. Oct. 22. All musicians are invited to be a part of this demonstration of the MIDI and traditional features of the new instrument.
