Ketchikan girl battles acute leukemia
Kayla Looper of Ketchikan has been diagnosed with acute leukemia. She is in seventh grade and a little sister in Big Brothers Big Sisters.

There will be a fundraiser at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at North Tongass Community Club.

A bank account is set up at Wells Fargo under the name Diane Amundson for Kayla Looper Amundson.

Looper is at Children's Hospital in a sealed room. She cannot have calls, but her parents would like to take cards down Nov. 7, in a care

package. They are also trying to set up e-mail for her to receive positive notes from people.
