Alicia Roberts Medical Center looks for part-time nurses
KLAWOCK - Are you a Prince of Wales Island resident who holds an active license as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)? Are you looking for part-time per diem work so you can keep your skills fresh?

The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Alicia Roberts Medical Center (ARMC) in Klawock is developing a pool of local nurses who can help with specialty clinics or when full-time nursing staff is on vacation or at training. These will be non-benefited positions paid at an excellent hourly rate.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for nurses on Prince of Wales who don't want to work every day or they need flexibility in their life," SEARHC Alicia Roberts Medical Center Administrator Donna Miller said. "When do you want to work? We probably can accommodate you. We want to use advance scheduling, so no one will be called and asked to work that day."

Part-time per diem nursing opportunities available include:

• RN/LPN - Day clinic coverage for specialty clinics, vacations, etc. This position has no weekend or night-call hours. Sign up to work when you want.

• RN/LPN - Day clinic every Friday. This is a regular 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift each Friday.

• RN/LPN - Establishing a coordinated child immunization program.

• RN - Vacation coverage for Emergency/Urgent Care. This is either an on-site night position from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. or an on-call position.
