New shipping company reaches out to Alaskans
DENVER, Colo. - Former Hawaii resident Darrell Houghton recently launched Aloha Forwarding (, a package forwarding service aimed at Hawaii and Alaska residents. The company is reaching out to those who have become frustrated with the high cost of other delivery services.

Priority Mail is the least expensive way to ship small packages to Hawaii and Alaska, however, some merchants do not offer that option. Residents can now have their packages delivered to Aloha Forwarding, who will then forward package using Priority Mail.

Houghton says consumers will still save money.

"Even with our small handling fee, people can save anywhere from $22 to over $100 per package," he said.
