Husband and wife duo Milo Matthews and Shawn Zuke will be playing their final performances of the year as LoveLifeMusic in Juneau this weekend.
They will perform with drummer Todd Vierra and guitarist Dave Downey at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at The Alaskan Bar and at 9 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the Hangar Ballroom. Matthews will also perform as he hosts an open mic night at The Alaskan Bar at 9 p.m. on Oct. 1.
But LoveLifeMusic fans need not fear. These musicians don't plan to stay off of the stage for long. They just need some time to revamp their performance.
"Probably the next time you see the band together as a whole will be sometime next year," Matthews said. "And next time it will be more upscale."
Matthews and Zuke hope to spice up the LoveLifeMusic stage show with fresh elements including dancers, video and other ambiance enhancers for "a more polished and professional show," Matthews said.
"It'll be an inspired, fresh energy," Zuke said.
This winter they plan to focus on their most recent endeavor, LoveLifeMusic Productions. The recording studio and record label, based in Homer, will keep the couple hard at work recording albums for other local artists. In addition, both Matthews and Zuke will be working on solo projects.
