Crystal Clear Communications
Give a brief description of what your business is.

Crystal Clear Communications is a full service advertising agency and public relations firm. We create radio, television, and print and coordinate those aspects of moving public opinion for clients. We also design and coordinate the various functions for clients and non-profits that we help. Trade shows, auctions, open houses and fundraisers are also included among our field of expertise.

What woman has inspired you or mentored you in business?

There are many women that have inspired me to go forth and grow. Many women have had incredible insights that they have shared with me to help me keep on the path of success both emotionally and financially. To single one out would diminish the impact of the others.

What does your business offer that is unique?

Crystal Clear Communications has a phenomenal body of work to its credit. Many accolades and awards have been bestowed upon our business. Most of our working group and clients have been with us for well over a decade because we truly respect all that are involved in the process. This vision has brought success to the clients as well as to Crystal Clear.

What has been your biggest challenge being a women-run business?

The challenge is not so much gender based in this day and age as it is with the economy. As I have found out my gender have been both a blessing and an obstacle along the course of time. Women were not taken seriously in the 80's if memory serves me right but after 20 years in media here in Juneau that issue for me has evaporated. A soft gentle respect for others goes a long way toward building trust. That is one of the keys for long-term success.
