The monthly event is back with the child-friendly Family Grind at 7 p.m. and the anything goes Bump and Grind at 9:30 p.m. the second Friday of each month starting Oct. 13 in the VFW Hall.
Organizer John Leo said the event gives performers five minutes to put on a show.
"We're really trying to reach out to everyone - your dentist who plays the saxophone or the bus driver who writes poetry," Leo said.
The earlier show is for all ages. Admission is free with a dessert and goodies will be eaten at intermission and judged for best entry. Regular admission is $5. Bump and Grind is for an over 21 audience and also is $5 for admission.
Leo said performers do not have to be professionals, and should contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested in performing.
"What's lovely is it is for people who like to perform - who have a secret urge to do it," Leo said. "You have a monthly excuse to get up and do something for five minutes. You don't have to create a huge opus. The audience is very receptive so it's a low-risk, I think."
