Rotary International clubs of Juneau and Bauer and Gates Real Estate are sponsoring the event, which benefits Juneau's youth programs through Rotary.
Ducks are adopted for chances to win prizes. A random number will be assigned for each duck adopted. A flock of 100 ducks is $500, a giant quack pack of 50 ducks is $250, a waddle pack of 20 ducks is $100, a quack pack of 6 ducks is $30 and a solo duck is $5.
The rubber ducks will be released in the water at Twin Lakes and winning ducks will be plucked from the lake prior and up to 2 p.m.
Ducks may be adopted from Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Behrends Mechanical, Elgee Rehfeld Mertz CPAs, True North Federal Credit Union and Subway.
Prizes include a grand prize of $1 million, first place of round trip tickets for two anywhere Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air flies in the United States, Canada or Mexico, second place of $1,000 cash donated by Alaska Knifeworks and third place of a La-Z-Boy recliner donated by Southeast Furniture Warehouse. Door prizes also will be awarded.
