SAGA to hold volunteer day, open house party
SAGA will celebrate National Public Lands Day by improving Herbert Glacier Trail, Saturday Sept. 30.

Plan to meet fellow volunteers at 10 a.m. at the Herbert Glacier Trailhead parking lot, where light refreshments will be offered before working on the trail until about 2 p.m.

Bring a lunch, plenty of water, sturdy footwear, and dress warmly incase of wet weather. SAGA will provide a shuttle to and from the trailhead at 9 a.m. leaving Nugget Mall and returning at 3 p.m.

Sunday the organization will hold an open house from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Eagle Valley Center where the use of high ropes course and kayaks will be offered, as well as other ongoing games.

The open house will be followed by a celebration at 3 p.m. to include cake and a slideshow showcasing 20 years of SAGA memories.
