Millennium Alaskan Hotel announces new executive chef
The Millennium Alaskan Hotel is pleased to announce that Mick Hug has been appointed to the position of Executive Chef of all food and beverage operations. Mick arrives at the Millennium with an extensive resume of more than fifteen years as a chef with many outstanding restaurants and hotels.

Prior to joining the Millennium, Hug has been the executive chef with four star resorts and hotels as well as fine dining restaurants. His extensive catering expertise will assure that the Millennium maintains their outstanding reputation in this area. Most recently, Hug was the executive chef for an upscale restaurant in Anchorage that carried his name. "Mick brings a rich culinary experience in both fine dining and catering, making him an exceptional addition to the Millennium team" said Brooke McGrath, Director of Food and Beverage at the Millennium Hotel.

The Millennium Alaskan Hotel is a 248 room deluxe hotel built on the shores of Lake Spenard in Anchorage. The property opened in 1986 and changed its name from the Regal Alaskan Hotel to the Millennium Alaskan Hotel in 2001. The hotel's facilities include the Flying Machine Restaurant and the Fancy Moose Lounge, both overlooking the lake and the world's largest floatplane base. Seven meeting rooms with a total of 6,000 square feet of space makes the Millennium an ideal choice for both meetings and special occasion catering.
