Sitka Chamber to host season's end celebration
SITKA - The Sitka chamber of Commerce will host the city's first community-wide celebration of another successful visitor and fishing season on Sept. 27, an event chamber officials hope will become an annual gathering.

The Alaska Cruise Association has contributed to the celebration in order to help promote the event and buy lunch for Sitkans. Free hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks will be provide by the association.

Sitka's commercial fish processors will be contributing seafood for the free lunch as their thank you to the community. Staff from other visitor-related businesses, such as Sitka Tours and Allen Marine, will be cooking and serving the food.

The Chamber will put together a schedule of activities that will be published in the Sitka Sentinel.
