SEARHC hosts free screenings and dental clinic in Haines

HAINES - The SEARHC Health Promotion department is hosting free health screenings for adults age 18 and older this month in Haines. The screenings will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. on Sept. 22-23, at the Chilkat Center for the Arts lobby. Participants are encouraged to make 20-minute appointments for their health screenings. SEARHC will also host a special Denali KidCare pediatric dental clinic on Oct. 12-16. This special pediatric clinic will feature dental examination appointments on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 12-13, with follow-up treatment taking place later in the week (Oct. 14-16). The clinic is open for children younger than 18 years old who are currently enrolled in the State of Alaska's Denali KidCare program or are on Medicaid. Dr. Lee Steinle will lead the pediatric dental team for this clinic, while Lisa Cone will be the dental hygienist.
