Juneau volunteer Ombudsmen for the U.S. Coast Guard received certificates for attending a recent one-day training course to learn how to best serve the families in their units. From left are: Tiffany Gibson Hanson, Ombudsman for Sector Juneau; Angela Winders, Ombudsman for Station Juneau; Rebecca Haddock, Ombudsman for the USCG Cutter Liberty; Ombudsman Coordinator Betsy Longenbaugh; and Trainer Yeoman First Class Michelle Jones. The Sept. 7 course was held in Juneau, and helped prepare these volunteers for their jobs as liaison between families and their units' commanding officers. The training is offered by Integrated Support Command Ketchikan - Juneau Detachment.
