Poem: Migration

Pole to pole, I travel

in search of your

immutable light.

Fin for feather,

Scrape and shell,

Hover, fletch.

My clutch will be fierce -

A red stain in the morning.

And I will

go with you

to winged ends and torpor byways

in the eclipse of winter life.

And I will

be for you

all that is love and flight

in the hollow of your bones.
