The Dimond Park Field House is in a new, indoor sports facility with an indoor turf field, batting cages and 3-lane running track, located adjacent to the new Thunder Mtn. High School. Learn to Ice Skate with the Juneau Skating Club. Our first session of the year begins Sept. 19. Classes meet one time per week for six weeks. Group lessons meet either Friday nights 6:30-7:30 pm or Saturday mornings 11:45 am -12:45 pm. Hockey skills classes start Sunday Sept. 21 at 10:30 am. Salsa workshop at the Canvas, Friday Sept. 12 with Keri Edwards. 7-8pm Body Movement (for ladies all levels). Cuban-style body movement will be broken down to add flavor to your basic step. 8:15-9:15 will be fundamentals of Cuban salsa (partner dancing all levels). Learn the basics of Cuban-style salsa including variations on the basic step and simple patterns used frequently on the dance floors there. No partner necessary. Cost: $7/class.
