Englesby first arrived in Klawock three months ago as a temporary staff member.

Dr. James Englesby
"I retired in May of 2007 and failed miserably," Englesby said. "I have been in Klawock for three months and am enjoying again the practice of medicine and the people of Prince of Wales."
"We are so pleased that Dr. Englesby chose to 'come out of retirement' and move to Klawock," said Donna Miller, clinic administrator for the SEARHC Alicia Roberts Medical Center. "His medical knowledge and expertise will be a great asset to our clinic and to the residents of Prince of Wales."
Englesby earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Wis. He completed family practice and internal medicine internships at Harbor General/UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has a dual specialty of family medicine and internal medicine is board certified by both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
In addition to adding Dr. Englesby to its staff, ARMC recently hired several nurses and a paramedic - Linda Connors, RN; Mary Dinon, RN (women's health); Lisa Olmstead, RN; Lane Purser, RN; and Rob Olmstead, paramedic.
