Eaglecrest celebrates blueberry festival
Musicians, face painters and a recipe contest. The Friends of Eaglecrest held its Third Annual Blueberry Festival Saturday and Sunday at the ski area on Douglas Island. The nonprofit group helps support recreational activities at Eaglecrest through contributions, promotional activities and direct improvements to and around the ski area, such as cross-country trails and drinking water.

The group, which will hold a general meeting Sept. 13 in the Douglas Library conference room, can be reached at friendsofeaglecrest@yahoo.com.
