Juneau residents flocked to Sandy Beach last Friday for a chance to shake the hand of their new governor, Sean Parnell, and his wife Sandy, at the Governor's Picnic, which Gov. Parnell called "the governor's first annual capital city picnic." Hot dogs and salmon were served, live music and entertainment were provided, and the rain refrained from falling on picnicgoers.
