The event will feature a potluck buffet luncheon at noon, with some food provided by he SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Health Promotion, the SEARHC Lifestyle Balance and the SEARHC Steps to a Healthier SE Alaska programs. Eagles vs. Ravens Wellness Challenge participants, teams and friends are encouraged to bring a favorite dish and/or salad or fruit plate. The luncheon celebrates a community working together for wellness and it is open to the entire Juneau community. You don't have to be participating in the Eagles vs. Ravens Wellness Challenge to attend.
The luncheon will feature honorary dances and the announcement of the winning teams and top individual point earners. Also to be announced is the winner of the contest between the Eagles moiety vs. Ravens moiety. There will be door prize drawings throughout the afternoon and all active participants of the wellness challenge (Native and non-Native) are eligible, and there are lots of prizes. Juneau businesses and other community programs that helped with the wellness challenge will be honored for their support and generosity.
This Eagles vs. Ravens Wellness Challenge is an eight-week event that started on July 2. The challenge features teams and individuals who earn points for healthy eating, exercise, stress reduction, and volunteering at or attending community and cultural events.
