The museum's annual summer display is showing through Sept. 30 at the Tongass Historical Museum, 629 Dock Street.
Opening reception for an open call show featuring found art, or pieces made from found objects. Refreshments will be served from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 at the Mainstay Gallery. The Mainstay Gallery is sponsored by the Arts Council, 225-2211, 716 Totem Way.
Alaska State Museum
Now showing at the Alaska State Museum in Juneau are "Rie Munoz: A Retrospective," "Alaska's Watchable Whales" and "Josephine Crumrine: Dog Portraits."
