Alaska Business Development Center provides counseling, assistance to commercial harvesters, small businesses
Alaska Business Development Center, Inc., a non-profit corporation, announces a recently renewed Fisheries Business Assistance Contract with the State of Alaska, Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development and Division of Investments.

The contract enables ABDC to continue to provide free or low cost business counseling and assistance to commercial harvesters and small businesses in the Alaska fishing industry.

Projects that promote value-added fish processing and enhanced product quality are of special interest. ABDC has provided these services for the past 20 years under previous contracts with the division.

ABDC's staff and consultants have been assisting the commercial fishing industry since 1978.

They are highly experienced and offer an extensive resource base.

Areas of assistance include, but are not limited to IRS problem resolution, loan extension, loan package preparation for the financing of vessels and gear, product quality improvement projects and IFQs, as well as small business development.
