STAR Performances

Summer Theatre Arts Rendezvous, Perseverance Theatre's five-week acting program providing intensive theatrical training to youth who are excited about theatre, will feature performances by program participants. All performances are in the Noyes Pavilion at University of Alaska Southeast. Single tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students with festival Passes, for all three shows at $25 for adults and $13 for students. Tickets are sold at the door. For information, call 364-2421.

"Children Of Eden," a musical by Stephen Schwartz & John Caird, presented by the High School Conservatory and directed by Roger Benington will show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

"The Woman Carried Away by the Killer Whale," a Haida puppet and mask story, adapted by Ann Boochever as advised by Sealaska Heritage Institute and directed by William Hubner will show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

"Merry Wives of Windsor" by William Shakespeare and directed by Abby Gerdts will show at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, and Friday, Aug. 17.

Xaadas Tak'anlang Haida Descendant Dancers
