Writers' Weir: The Saga—An Everlasting Beauty

The Saga—An Everlasting Beauty

By Hamzah Faisal

Indeed there are thorns in a saga

Jealous of the honor; the hopes and dreams:

Long to destruct the beauty of the saga.

Their attempts are useless—

The saga is an everlasting beauty

When I excel

I will be so far:

So distant in rank; so high

There will I stand:

In the light of hope and faith-

Of this ignorant world.

Indeed there are haters in the world:

Jealous of my hopes and dreams; and

Desire to poison them.

Yes, I will kill the whispers of the haters in this world
