Wine, whales and Wild Spice
American Red Cross of Southeast Alaska
As the summer begins to end, the American Red Cross of Alaska, Southeast District is preparing to take voyage on their annual wine tasting cruise. This journey into autumn is an addition to a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils, anticipation of termination dust and the start of the football season.

On Sept. 9 the transition of seasons will occur aboard one of Allen Marines vessels. Boarding begins at 4:15 p.m. with an on-time departure at 4:30 p.m. from the Don Statter Harbor in Auke Bay.

Aboard and ready to depart, you'll find yourself greeting old friends and meeting new ones as we begin an array of fine wine tasting, all provided by Alaska distributors.

Awaken your senses with up to 18 different wines.

While enjoying fine wine and conversation, pleasure your palate with the exotic tastes of Juneau's premier restaurant "Wild Spice."

Bringing together the worlds premier flavors, Wild Spice creates a sophisticated dining experience that will not soon be forgotten. While enjoying wine and hors d'oeuvres, relax to the original music of local artists The Martha DeFreest Trio.

This will be the perfect addition to the evening, but if you require more, then we invite you to sit back and take in the scenery of beautiful Southeast Alaska.

Watch for whales portside or view eagles starboard or just close your eyes and embark on a solitary journey of your own. Whatever your pleasure, you are sure to depart from our three hour cruise feeling refreshed and relaxed.

So we invite you to come to experience Alaska, Red Cross style on September 9th, 2006. Tickets are available for $95 for one or $175 for a couple. You may purchase your tickets at the American Red Cross offices located at 3200 Hospital Dr # 203 or Annie Kaills and both locations of the Alaska Club.

All proceeds from this evening of wine, whales and wild spice will go to benefit the American Red Cross of Alaska, Southeast District who remain steadfast in their commitment to help our communities prepare for, prevent and respond to emergencies.
