This funding, in conjunction with a Denali grant and other HUD and AHFC supplemental funding, will enable the THRHA to triple the square footage of the Senior Center. The expansion and renovation, includes eight new fully accessible two-bedroom units; a complete renovation of the existing ten one-bedroom units with new cabinets, counters, appliances, fixtures, flooring and widening doorways to bedrooms and bathrooms, among other improvements.
"Without help from the Rasmuson Foundation we would not have been able to fully renovate, increase the number of units, and upgrade accessibility and comfort at this high level," said Dr. Blake Y. Kazama, President and CEO, Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority.
