Alaska Pacific Bank hires controller
JUNEAU - Alaska Pacific Bancshares, Inc. President and CEO Craig E. Dahl announced that Dorothy Webster, CPA, has been hired as controller for Alaska Pacific Bank.

Dorothy manages the day-to-day accounting functions for the Bank. In this position, she supervises accounting staff, manages daily bank reconciliations and accounts payable, prepares monthly financial statements, and supports the bank's chief financial officer. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Dorothy is a life-long resident of Juneau, Alaska. Prior to joining Alaska Pacific Bank, she held the positions of chief financial officer for Central Council Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska (CCTHITA), accountant for the State of Alaska, controller for Southeast Alaska Regional Housing Consortium (SEARCH), and has been self-employed as an accounting consultant.

"I am looking forward to being part of a team where I can use my 20 years in accounting experience and team leadership skills," commented Dorothy. She also stated "My accounting and support systems analyst skills will help bring fiscal support to the organization as a whole."

Dorothy has a B.A. in Business Administration and a M.B.A. in Business Administration from University of Alaska Southeast. She is very involved in the local native community and is past secretary for Alaska Native Sisterhood Grand Camp. She also initiated and established Elizabeth Peratrovich Day to honor Alaska's Native Civil Rights Movement. Dorothy's hobbies include weaving spruce root basketry, Chilkat style weaving, beadwork and making traditional and contemporary Alaskan native regalia.
