JAHC begins poster-hanging service
Responding to requests from arts and other local organizations, Juneau Arts & Humanities Council is offering a community-wide weekly poster-hanging service.

Anyone who advertises events with posters and flyers are invited to bring their materials to the Arts & Culture Center by Tuesday mornings and the posters will be hung on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cost for the service is $25/event + one ticket to the event.

The official poster route, which can be found on the JAHC web site, lists over 100 locations from downtown to Auke Bay, and requires each organization to find volunteers or to pay people to drive the route for each event.

"It just makes sense for us to collaborate, and have one person do the (poster hanging) for everyone, rather than have four or five people each week trying to accomplish this," says JAHC Executive Director Nancy DeCherney. "Not only is it easier, but it is energy efficient!"

Postering services began on July 22. For more information contact Nancy DeCherney at 586-2787.
