Summer Wildlife
Southeast Alaska's wild residents are enjoying our brief summer and the peak of the salmon runs: a porcupine samples some thimble berries, while a blacktail buck feasts on a crop of raspberries. A bull orca cruises through Icy Strait. And a herd of sea lions rests on a Southeast island, keeping a wary eye on nearby orcas.
