First City Player's Summer melodrama, Fish Pirates Daughter. Hiss the villain, cheer the hero, crack crab! Ketchikan's original musical melodrama is served up with an all-you-can-eat-crab feast. - KETCHIKAN -

2009 Halibut Derby, July 11-12 and 18-19, is a fundraising event for Southern Southeast Alaska Building Association (SEABIA) scholarships. Single ticket price is $25, Family ticket price is $40 and includes spouse and children under the age of 18. Any prize drawing for all ticket holders will be held July 25 at 3 p.m. at SEABIA Annual Family Picnic at Ward Lake.

Ward Lake Family Fun Run 2009. 1-mile race starts at 10:30 a.m. and the 5K starts at 11 a.m. Children 12 and younger run a course. In the open division, choose a 5K Fun Run or 5K Walk.
